Voltage regulators regulate the electric current from the battery to the other electrical components.  If you find that your electrical system overloads when you rev up the machine, then you most likely need to replace the voltage regulator.   Please look at pictures and compare measurements to ensure that you are choosing the right voltage regulator.  Sometimes wires will need switched around to match your regulator.

• 4 wires
• Wiring harness length: 15.5cm (5.9 in)
  
• Plug: 6 spaces but only 4 are used.  
• Regulator measurement:  approx. 69mm x 59mm (2.7 in. x 2.3 in)
  
• Bolt holes: center to center are 55mm (2.18 in)
